Research works better when everyone is part of it
There are lots of ways to get involved with the Sheffield Deep End Research Cluster — and you don't need to be a doctor or a nurse to make a difference. Research in primary care takes a whole team, and we welcome interest from anyone who shares our belief that underserved communities deserve a stronger voice in research.
Patients and community members — join our PPI group
Our Patient and Public Involvement group is one of the things we are most proud of. PPI members help us to shape the research we deliver — making sure studies are relevant, accessible, and designed with our communities in mind rather than imposed on them.
If you live or receive care in one of our member practices and would like to find out more about getting involved, we would love to hear from you.
GP practices — join the cluster
We currently work with six Sheffield practices serving underserved communities. If you are a practice that shares our values and would like to explore what joining the cluster might mean for you and your patients, please do get in touch. We are always happy to have an informal conversation.

Research in primary care is a team effort — and there is a role for everyone, clinical and non-clinical alike.
