We are very grateful to the NIHR for supporting our established NIHR research cluster in the 9 of the most deprived practices in Sheffield. While delivering deliver NIHR portfolio studies have found many of these are not designed with the needs of our patient populations and our practices at their heart. For example many have none or limited language support or interpreter provision. Due to this support local academics and researches and we are very proud of out patient group which which we support in collaboration DERA colleagues. We aim to enable our patients to benefit from being part of research studies and to address the lack of representation in research for people living in deprived and diverse communities. We are proud to to have supportive multiple studies including interventional studies for COVID treatments as well as qualitative research in to patient and practitioner experience and more.
