Deep End Research Alliance

The Deep End Research Alliance is a collaboration, is hosted by the University of Sheffield. between patients, public and healthcare
practitioners to shape our research, to collaborate and discuss how to widen opportunities and representation for underserved groups in research.  It is critical to have patient and public voices deeply embedded in research from the outset, when setting research priorities and designing studies. This means that research is relevant and applicable to our patients and that it is designed by the people it is aimed as therefore increasing accessibility.

Over the last year we have hosted three meetings each looking a a specific research priority area (serious Mental Illness, Prostate cancer and Dementia). We plan to continue this exciting and innovative project going forwards.

Please contact us if you would like to be involved or have questions about the project.
